Haitian Injection Molding Machine
Symptoms
The Haitian injection molding machine displays alarm HT007, indicating insufficient clamping force. The clamping force during the injection phase has dropped below the minimum required to resist the mold opening force, risking flash or mold opening.
Possible Causes
- Mold clamping force setting is too low for the projected area and injection pressure of the current mold
- Toggle linkage is worn or the pins are loose, reducing the mechanical advantage of the clamping mechanism
- Hydraulic clamping pressure is not reaching the setpoint due to a pump or valve issue
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Verify the clamping force setting against the mold projected area and the maximum cavity pressure
Setting provides at least 10 percent margin above the calculated mold opening force - Step 2: Inspect the toggle linkage pins and bushings for wear
Pins and bushings are within tolerance with no excessive play or visible wear - Step 3: Check the hydraulic clamping pressure against the setpoint
Pressure reaches the setpoint within 2 seconds and holds steady during the clamping phase
How to Reset
To reset: 1) Increase the clamping force setting. 2) Replace worn toggle pins and bushings. 3) Repair the hydraulic pump or valve. 4) Press RESET. 5) Verify clamping force is maintained during injection.
