Symptoms
The fiber laser reports a fiber connector fault. The optical fiber connection is damaged or misaligned.
Possible Causes
- Connector end face contaminated or damaged
- Fiber bend radius too small causing loss
- Connector not fully seated or misaligned
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Inspect the connector end face with a fiber scope
End face is clean and undamaged - Step 2: Verify the fiber bend radius meets the minimum
No sharp bends in the fiber path - Step 3: Check the connector seating and alignment
Connector is fully seated and aligned
How to Reset
To reset: Repair the fiber connector, then clear the alarm.
