Symptoms
The fiber laser reports high optical head temperature. The processing head temperature exceeds the safe limit.
Possible Causes
- Protective glass or lens contamination absorbing laser energy
- Cooling water flow to the head insufficient
- Excessive laser duty cycle generating heat
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Inspect the protective glass and lens for contamination
Optics are clean - Step 2: Verify the cooling water flow to the head
Flow meets the specification - Step 3: Reduce the laser duty cycle if needed
Temperature drops below the limit
How to Reset
To reset: Lower the optical head temperature, then clear the alarm.
