Symptoms
The alternator output voltage has dropped below 26V on a 24V system. The battery warning light illuminates and the machine may stall during heavy electrical load.

Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Check the alternator drive belt tension and condition
Replace the belt if cracked or frayed; tension to the manual specification - Step 2: Measure the alternator output voltage at the B+ terminal with the engine running at 1500 RPM
Voltage should be 27-29V DC; if below 26V, test the alternator - Step 3: Check battery terminal connections for corrosion and tightness
