Symptoms
The AKD reports a speed search failure. The drive could not detect the motor speed during restart of a spinning motor.
Possible Causes
- Motor speed search parameter not configured correctly
- Motor was spinning in the wrong direction during restart
- Speed search algorithm could not converge within the timeout period
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Enable the speed search function and set the correct parameters
Speed search is properly configured - Step 2: Verify the motor direction before attempting restart
Motor direction is correct for restart - Step 3: Increase the speed search timeout if the motor inertia is large
Speed search completes within the extended timeout
How to Reset
To reset: Configure speed search properly, then retry the start.
