Applicable Systems
i950
Symptoms
The i950 reports a motor phase loss fault. One or more motor output phases are missing, causing unbalanced motor operation.
Possible Causes
- Motor cable disconnected or broken on one phase
- Motor terminal box loose connection on one phase
- Drive output phase failure due to semiconductor damage
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Check all motor cable connections at the drive and motor ends
All phase connections are tight and secure - Step 2: Measure motor winding resistance between all three phases for balance
All phase resistances are balanced - Step 3: If the drive output is faulty, replace the drive unit
Drive output is balanced on all three phases
How to Reset
To reset: Restore all three motor output phases, then reset the fault.
