Symptoms

The Hydraulic reports a short circuit fault. A short circuit was detected between motor output phases or between phase and ground.

Possible Causes

  • Short circuit between motor output cables U, V, or W
  • Motor winding phase-to-phase short circuit
  • Power semiconductor failure causing internal short circuit

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Step 1: Disconnect the motor cable and measure resistance between all phases
No short circuits found between phases
  2. Step 2: Test the motor winding resistance between all phase pairs
    Motor windings show balanced resistance
  3. Step 3: If the drive output is shorted internally, replace the drive unit
New drive has no internal short circuits

How to Reset

To reset: Eliminate the short circuit, then reset the fault and restart.
