cMT Series
Symptoms
Screen shows mosaic artifacts and random colored pixels after 2 hours of runtime.
Possible Causes
- GPU/SoC thermal throttling causing memory corruption in the frame buffer.
- DDR3/LPDDR4 memory chip with bit errors due to aging or insufficient cooling.
- EasyBuilder Pro project using 32-bit color depth exceeding the SoC bandwidth.
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Measure the SoC heatsink temperature with a thermal camera or IR probe.
Temperature is below 75 C under continuous full-screen animation. - Step 2: Change the project color depth from 32-bit to 16-bit in EasyBuilder Pro display settings.
Artifacts disappear and frame rate remains smooth. - Step 3: Run the Weintek built-in display test from the system menu.
Test patterns render cleanly without pixel errors, ruling out panel defect.
How to Reset
Improve ventilation, reduce project color depth to 16-bit, and verify with the built-in display test.
