Symptoms
Touch accuracy degrades near the screen edges; center area remains accurate.
Possible Causes
- Capacitive touch edge drift due to bezel ground coupling or EMI.
- Screen protector with air bubbles trapped along the edges.
- EasyBuilder Pro touch calibration not performed after bezel replacement.
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Enter the Weintek system menu and run the 9-point touch calibration routine.
All 9 points including corners register within a 3 mm radius. - Step 2: Remove the screen protector and recalibrate with bare finger.
Edge touch accuracy matches the center area. - Step 3: Verify the bezel is grounded properly and not flexing under touch pressure.
Bezel is firmly seated and grounded to the chassis with <0.1 Ohm resistance.
How to Reset
Recalibrate the touch panel, remove edge-trapped overlays, and verify bezel grounding.
