Symptoms
The UPS battery self-test has failed. The battery cannot sustain the load for the expected duration.
Possible Causes
- Battery aged and cannot hold sufficient charge
- One or more battery modules failed
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Check the battery age and last replacement date
Battery is past its service life - Step 2: Replace the battery modules and run a new self-test
New battery passes the self-test
How to Reset
To reset: Replace the battery and run a manual self-test to clear the alarm.
