Copeland Scroll Compressor (CoreSense/Comfort Alert)
Symptoms
The compressor reports a power phase reversal error. The scroll compressor will not start or runs in reverse rotation, causing loud noise and no pumping.
Possible Causes
- Power supply phase sequence reversed at the compressor terminals
- Incorrect wiring during installation or maintenance
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Check the phase sequence at the compressor power supply terminals using a phase rotation tester
Correct phase sequence L1-L2-L3 is confirmed - Step 2: Swap any two incoming power leads to correct the phase sequence

How to Reset
To reset: Correct the phase sequence at the power supply, then cycle the compressor power off and on.
