Symptoms
The crane reports a buffer fault. The travel end buffer or bumper is damaged or missing.
Possible Causes
- Buffer rubber degraded from age and impact
- Buffer mounting bolts loose or missing
- Buffer compressed permanently from impact
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Inspect the buffer for damage and deformation
Buffer is intact and resilient - Step 2: Check buffer mounting hardware
Bolts are tight and secure - Step 3: Replace the buffer if permanently compressed
New buffer absorbs impact correctly
How to Reset
To reset: Replace the buffer if needed, then clear the maintenance alarm.
