Symptoms
The fiber laser reports a pump source fault. One or more pump diode modules are malfunctioning.
Possible Causes
- Pump diode aging or failure
- Pump drive current instability
- Pump module thermal protection activated
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Check the pump diode current and output
Current and output are within specification - Step 2: Verify the pump drive stability
Drive current is stable - Step 3: Check the pump module temperature
Temperature is within the safe range
How to Reset
To reset: Resolve the pump source fault, then clear the alarm.
