Symptoms
The fiber laser reports a safety interlock open. The laser safety interlock circuit is open.
Possible Causes
- Safety enclosure door open
- Interlock switch damaged or misaligned
- Interlock wiring disconnected or damaged
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Verify all safety enclosure doors are closed
All doors are closed and secure - Step 2: Check the interlock switches for proper operation
Switches engage correctly when closed - Step 3: Verify the interlock circuit wiring
Circuit is complete and functional
How to Reset
To reset: Close all interlock devices, then reset the laser safety circuit.
