MAN Roland MAN Roland Offset Printing Machine Error Code MR012

MAN Roland Printing Major Sensor

Model: MAN Roland Offset Printing Machine | Code: MR012

Applicable Systems
MAN Roland Offset Printing Machine

Symptoms

The MAN Roland press displays error MR012, indicating a paper path sensor fault. One or more sensors along the paper path are not detecting the sheet correctly, causing false jam alarms or missed sheets.

Possible Causes

  • Optical sensor lens contaminated with ink mist or paper dust
  • Ultrasonic sensor misaligned, causing incorrect sheet presence readings
  • Sensor cable or connector damaged from repeated motion or vibration

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Step 1: Clean all optical sensor lenses with a lint-free cloth and alcohol
Lenses are clean and the sensor LED indicators show correct state
  2. Step 2: Check ultrasonic sensor alignment with a straightedge
Sensor is perpendicular to the paper path and the gap matches the specification
  3. Step 3: Test sensor wiring continuity and connector security
All wires show continuity and connectors are locked with no visible damage

How to Reset

To reset: 1) Clean or replace contaminated sensors. 2) Realign ultrasonic sensors. 3) Repair damaged wiring. 4) Press RESET and run a sheet path test.
