MAN Roland Offset Printing Machine
Symptoms
The MAN Roland press displays error MR008, indicating a delivery suction fault. The delivery suckers that lift the sheet into the pile are not operating correctly, causing pile irregularity or jams.
Possible Causes
- Delivery sucker pads worn or vacuum holes blocked with paper dust
- Delivery vacuum pump filter clogged reducing suction capacity
- Sucker timing out of phase with the delivery chain gripper release
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Inspect the delivery sucker pads and clean the vacuum passages
Pads are intact and all vacuum holes are clear of lint and dust - Step 2: Check and clean the vacuum pump intake filter
Filter is clean and the pump achieves the rated vacuum within 5 seconds - Step 3: Verify the sucker timing marks align with the chain gripper opening
Timing is correct and the sucker contacts the sheet just as the grippers open
How to Reset
To reset: 1) Replace worn sucker pads and clear vacuum passages. 2) Clean or replace the vacuum filter. 3) Adjust sucker timing. 4) Press RESET and monitor delivery.
