Symptoms

  • GP-Pro EX display unit shows error RHAA013: COM1 9th pin has not been set to VCC (5V Power Supply).

Possible Causes

  • The 9th pin of COM1 is connected as RI input (e.g. when using an Isolation Unit RS-232C Type).

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Step 1: Designate RI in the RI/VCC settings of GP-Pro EX Device/PLC.
    Communication restored and error cleared

Repower or reset the display unit after correcting the root cause.
