Symptoms

The pneumatic system reports a pressure switch fault. A pressure switch is not operating at the correct setpoint.

Possible Causes

  • Switch diaphragm or spring fatigued
  • Switch contacts oxidized or worn
  • Switch calibration drift from vibration

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Step 1: Test the switch actuation pressure against the setpoint
    Switch activates at the correct pressure
  2. Step 2: Inspect the switch contacts for oxidation
    Contacts are clean and make positively
  3. Step 3: Recalibrate or replace the pressure switch
    Switch operates reliably at the setpoint

How to Reset

To reset: Repair or replace the pressure switch, then clear the alarm.
