Symptoms
The SMC PSE200/PSE201 controller displays a System Error indicating an internal data error has occurred. This is an internal controller fault that cannot be resolved by external troubleshooting. The controller may not function properly and pressure monitoring is unreliable.
Possible Causes
- Internal EEPROM data corruption from electrical noise or power surge
- Controller microprocessor watchdog timeout from firmware bug
- Internal power supply regulation failure
- Electrostatic discharge damage to internal circuitry
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Check controller display for System Error message
