Symptoms
The packaging machine reports a packaging material break. The material web has broken or run out, stopping production.
Possible Causes
- Material reel depleted or web tension too high
- Material quality issue causing web weakness
- Web guide misalignment causing edge tearing
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Check the material reel for remaining material
New reel is loaded if depleted - Step 2: Verify web tension is set within specification
Tension is at the correct setpoint - Step 3: Check the web guide alignment and sensor operation

How to Reset
To reset: Re-thread packaging material, then clear the alarm from the HMI.
