Symptoms
The packaging machine reports a PLC communication interruption. The connection between the PLC and remote I/O or HMI has been lost.
Possible Causes
- Fieldbus cable disconnected or damaged
- Remote I/O station power failure
- Fieldbus module hardware fault
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Check the fieldbus cable connections at all stations
All connections are secure - Step 2: Verify power to all remote I/O stations
All stations show power-on status - Step 3: Check the fieldbus module diagnostic LEDs
Module shows normal communication status
How to Reset
To reset: Restore the communication link, then reset the PLC communication.
