Symptoms
The packaging machine reports a temperature control anomaly. A sealing or forming temperature is outside the acceptable tolerance band.
Possible Causes
- Heater element burned out or not energizing
- Temperature controller PID tuning issue
- Thermocouple or RTD sensor drifted or failed
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Check the heater element for continuity and proper resistance

Sensor reads accurately within tolerance - Step 3: Tune the PID parameters for stable temperature control
Temperature holds at setpoint without oscillation
How to Reset
To reset: Resolve the temperature control issue, then clear the alarm.
