Symptoms
The dryer displays error E012, indicating the drying program has exceeded the maximum allowed time. The load is not drying within the expected window, suggesting a heat or airflow problem.
Possible Causes
- Heating element producing insufficient heat due to partial failure
- Large or extra-wet load exceeding the dryer's rated capacity
- Exhaust vent partially blocked, preventing moisture removal
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Check if the heating element is glowing during the dry cycle
Element glows bright red evenly along its entire length - Step 2: Verify the load size does not exceed the drum capacity
Load fills no more than two-thirds of the drum volume - Step 3: Inspect the exhaust vent for partial blockage or excessive length
Vent is clear and total duct length is within manufacturer maximum
How to Reset
To reset: 1) Reduce the load size or select a longer cycle. 2) Clear any exhaust restrictions. 3) Press the power button to clear the error and restart.
