Symptoms
The welding system reports an overtemperature fault. The internal temperature has exceeded the safe limit.
Possible Causes
- Cooling fan blocked or failed
- Air filter clogged reducing airflow
- Extended high-amperage welding exceeding thermal capacity
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Check the cooling fan operation
Fan runs at full speed - Step 2: Clean or replace the air filter
Filter is clean and airflow is unrestricted - Step 3: Allow the unit to cool before resuming
Temperature drops below the threshold
How to Reset
To reset: Allow the unit to cool, then reset the thermal protection.
