Symptoms
The fiber laser reports high laser temperature. The laser internal temperature exceeds the safe operating limit.
Possible Causes
- Cooling water flow insufficient
- Chiller malfunction or setpoint too high
- Ambient temperature exceeding the operating range
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Check the cooling water flow rate
Flow meets the laser specification - Step 2: Verify the chiller operation and setpoint
Chiller supplies water at the correct temperature - Step 3: Check the ambient temperature in the laser room
Temperature is between 10 and 35 degrees C
How to Reset
To reset: Lower the laser temperature below the threshold, then reset the alarm.
