Symptoms
The fiber laser reports an external interlock open. An external safety interlock device is open.
Possible Causes
- External safety enclosure door open
- External interlock cable disconnected
- External interlock switch failure
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Check all external safety devices
All devices are in safe state - Step 2: Verify the external interlock cable
Cable is connected and intact - Step 3: Test the external interlock switch
Switch operates correctly
How to Reset
To reset: Close all external interlocks, then reset the laser safety circuit.
