Symptoms
Graphite HMI does not boot; fans spin briefly then stop; no display output.
Possible Causes
- Short circuit on a USB peripheral drawing excessive inrush current.
- Mainboard BIOS/UEFI corrupted due to an interrupted firmware update.
- Power supply 24 VDC input out of spec (above 30 VDC or below 18 VDC).
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Disconnect all USB devices and attempt boot with only power connected.
HMI boots to Crimson runtime without USB peripherals attached. - Step 2: Enter the BIOS recovery mode via the rear pinhole button and reflash firmware.
BIOS POST completes and the boot logo appears on the display. - Step 3: Measure input voltage under no-load and full-load conditions.
Voltage is stable within 18–30 VDC range and ripple <5%.
How to Reset
Remove USB peripherals, recover the BIOS firmware, and verify the input voltage is within specification.
