Symptoms
Motor current exceeded the allowable current limit: 2 x minimum(p0640, 4 x p0305 x p0306) >= 2 x p0305 x p0306.
Possible Causes
- Motor parameters (P0305-P0311) set incorrectly
- Process parameters (current limit P0640, ramp times P1120/P1121) set incorrectly
- Drive hardware circuit fault (current detection / power module / trigger circuit)
- Motor winding or cable short circuit or low insulation
- Motor winding star/delta connection error
- Inter-turn short circuit in motor winding
- Mechanical jam or load surge
Troubleshooting Steps
- Confirm motor nameplate data matches P0305-P0311 settings
- Adjust P0640, P1120, P1121 according to process requirements
- If fault occurs on power-up only, check drive hardware circuit
- Disconnect motor cable and test - if fault clears, check motor winding/cable insulation
- Check motor winding star/delta connection
- For conveyor applications, check if fault occurs at specific positions - inspect mechanical parts
- If load surge is unavoidable, increase P0640 or select larger drive
How to Reset
Reset by: 1) Correct the fault condition. 2) Press RESET button or send reset command via communication. 3) Verify fault does not recur during operation.
