Electrolux Dryer
Symptoms
The dryer displays error E008, indicating a control board communication fault. The main control board cannot exchange data with the display board or motor controller, causing erratic operation or cycle abort.
Possible Causes
- Ribbon cable or wire harness between control boards loose or damaged
- Electromagnetic interference from nearby high-power appliances
- Control board firmware corruption or damaged communication IC
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Check all internal wiring harnesses and ribbon cables for secure seating
All connectors are fully seated with locking tabs engaged and no bent pins - Step 2: Power-cycle the dryer and observe if the error recurs immediately
Error does not reappear immediately after a 30-second power cycle - Step 3: If intermittent, inspect for loose grounding or EMI sources nearby
Dryer is grounded properly and no high-power devices share the same circuit
How to Reset
To reset: 1) Reseat all internal connectors. 2) Power-cycle for 30 seconds. 3) If error persists, replace the affected control board.
