Symptoms
The packaging line reports a communication interruption. The data link between machine modules or to the line controller has been lost.
Possible Causes
- Network cable disconnected or damaged
- Network switch or hub power failure
- Communication module hardware fault
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Check all network cable connections at both ends
All connections are secure and seated properly - Step 2: Verify network switch power and port activity lights
Switch shows normal port activity - Step 3: Test cable continuity with a network cable tester
Cable passes continuity test
How to Reset
To reset: Restore the communication link, then restart the affected module.
