Symptoms
The packaging line reports an HMI communication fault. The human-machine interface has lost connection to the PLC.
Possible Causes
- HMI Ethernet cable disconnected or damaged
- PLC communication module fault
- IP address conflict on the network
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Check the HMI network cable connection
Cable is securely connected at both ends - Step 2: Verify PLC communication module status lights
Module shows normal communication status - Step 3: Check for IP address conflicts on the network
No duplicate IP addresses found
How to Reset
To reset: Restore the HMI communication link, then restart the HMI.
