Symptoms
HMI displays F-101, indicating a filler valve fault. One or more filling valves have detected a flow rate anomaly during the filling cycle. The affected valve is isolated and the filler continues with remaining valves at reduced capacity.
Possible Causes
- Filling valve seat seal worn or damaged causing leakage
- Product filter at the valve inlet clogged with sediment
- Flow meter sensor drift or electrical connection fault
- Product temperature outside specification affecting viscosity and flow
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Inspect the affected filling valve seat seal for wear or damage
Replace valve seat seal if worn, using OEM replacement part - Step 2: Remove and clean the product filter at the valve inlet
Replace filter element if damaged or at end of service life - Step 3: Check the flow meter sensor wiring and verify calibration
Run a calibration test and compare with reference measurement - Step 4: Verify product temperature is within specification for filling
Adjust heat exchanger or chiller settings if temperature is out of range
How to Reset
To reset F-101: 1) Resolve the fault on the affected valve. 2) On the HMI, navigate to the Filler Diagnostics screen. 3) Select the faulted valve number and press Acknowledge. 4) Press Reset. 5) The valve is re-enabled and the filler resumes full-speed operation after a test cycle.
