Symptoms
The packaging line reports a valve fault. A pneumatic or process valve is not responding to control commands.
Possible Causes
- Valve solenoid coil burned out or open
- Valve stem seized or mechanically jammed
- Valve control signal missing or wiring damaged
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Test the valve solenoid coil for continuity
Coil shows proper resistance value - Step 2: Inspect the valve stem for free movement
Valve stem moves smoothly without binding - Step 3: Verify control signal voltage at the valve connector
Rated voltage is present when commanded
How to Reset
To reset: Repair or replace the faulty valve, then clear the alarm.
