Symptoms
The packaging line reports low pump station pressure. The process pump discharge pressure is below the minimum required.
Possible Causes
- Pump inlet strainer clogged restricting suction
- Pump impeller worn reducing discharge pressure
- Pump seal leak allowing air ingestion
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Inspect and clean the pump inlet strainer
Strainer is clean and flow is unrestricted - Step 2: Check pump impeller for wear and erosion
Impeller is in good condition - Step 3: Verify pump seal integrity and replace if leaking
Seal is intact with no leakage
How to Reset
To reset: Restore pump pressure to specification, then clear the alarm.
