Symptoms
The packaging line reports a level sensor fault. A tank or vessel level sensor is reading incorrectly.
Possible Causes
- Level sensor probe contaminated or coated
- Sensor calibration drifted from reference point
- Sensor wiring or transmitter fault
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Clean the level sensor probe
Probe is clean and free of buildup - Step 2: Recalibrate the level sensor against a known reference
Sensor reads accurately at zero and full scale - Step 3: Test the sensor transmitter output signal
Signal corresponds to the actual level
How to Reset
To reset: Repair and recalibrate the level sensor, then clear the alarm.
