Symptoms
The packaging line reports a light curtain fault. The safety light curtain is blocked or misaligned, preventing machine operation.
Possible Causes
- Light curtain beam blocked by an object
- Light curtain emitter and receiver misaligned
- Light curtain lens contaminated or damaged
Troubleshooting Steps
- Step 1: Inspect the light curtain beam path for obstructions
Beam path is clear of all objects - Step 2: Check alignment of emitter and receiver units
Alignment indicator shows correct beam reception - Step 3: Clean the light curtain lenses
Lenses are clean and beam is received
How to Reset
To reset: Clear the light curtain obstruction, then reset the safety circuit.
